A direct route, opened
At around 11:00 on 12 October, the "Dongfang Furong" — carrying hoses and containers — set sail smoothly from the comprehensive bonded-zone terminal at Baiquan Port Area, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, for Venezuela. This marks the official opening of Zhougang Company's direct Venezuela route, adding an efficient and stable export channel to the international logistics network of the Belt and Road. Notably, all 105 containers on this voyage were complete vehicles from HK Millionsmooth — the first batch of scaled vehicle cargo carried on this new direct route.
Why it matters for HK Millionsmooth
HK Millionsmooth is an international trading company focused on complete-vehicle export, covering the full chain of vehicle sourcing, export shipping, port operations and document delivery, with a long-standing focus on the Latin American market. Venezuela is one of our core strategically prioritised markets; as the local dealer network keeps expanding, export volumes have grown steadily, and customers keep raising their requirements for schedule stability, transit time and total logistics cost. Shipping these 105 containers of vehicles via Zhougang's direct route is a concrete step by HK Millionsmooth to respond to market demand and strengthen our Latin America logistics footprint.
A new "container + break-bulk" model
Since the start of this year, Zhougang Company has leveraged the multi-function handling advantages of the bonded-zone terminal to meet the differentiated, multi-category export logistics needs of foreign-trade firms. Building on mature international routes to Indonesia and Brazil, it keeps weaving a denser Belt and Road route network. The new route adopts a "container + break-bulk" combined transport model that handles both standard containers and oversized/wide break-bulk cargo in one stop, fitting diverse export needs and widening the terminal's service coverage. For HK Millionsmooth, it means our vehicles to Venezuela gain a direct channel — no third-country transhipment — effectively shortening transit and lowering total logistics cost.
A safe and smooth maiden voyage
The large volume of hoses are oversized, extra-wide break-bulk cargo, posing challenges for storage, in-yard transfer, loading and whole-process safety control. To secure a safe, efficient maiden voyage, the bonded-zone terminal planned ahead, coordinating with the cargo owner, shipping company and freight forwarder, holding a pre-voyage operations workshop to map out difficulties, clarify responsibilities, standards and safety controls; it refined the end-to-end plan, fully checked equipment condition, tightened on-site safety, enforced the special large-cargo procedure with on-site supervision, and built a safety line for the voyage. It also secured port-authority support to open a large-cargo passage, unblocking the gate-in, storage and loading links, compressing port stay time and raising safety efficiency. HK Millionsmooth's vehicles completed the full journey from gate-in and stowage to loading in this maiden voyage.
Looking ahead
The "Dongfang Furong" has now set sail for Venezuela. On board are not only 105 containers of vehicles, but also the tightening bond between HK Millionsmooth and our Latin American customers. Going forward, HK Millionsmooth will keep working with quality logistics partners such as Zhougang Company to refine our export supply chain — with steadier capacity, faster transit and more professional service — to grow together with partners worldwide.
